Washington (WA) - State Requirements - Ignition Interlock Device Cost
Washington requires DUI offenders to cover the cost of their state-approved ignition interlock device installation and leasing. Installation is a one-time fee of approximately $100. Intoxalock devices cost between $2.50 and $3.50 per day to lease. Washington state also requires drivers to pay for the IIL application fee, and a separate monthly charge of $21 for the monthly Ignition Interlock Device Revolving Account fee. These two fees are not charged by Intoxalock, but by the state directly. The revolving account fee is used to help cover costs for low-income drivers. Eligible low-income drivers can receive up to $80 per month as reimbursement for IID costs, but must cover the remaining fees themselves.
